Mar 8	Mon	Morning Announcements Monday, March 08, 2010 The Defiance Regional Medical Center Scholarship application is now on the website. The due date is listed as April 9, but due to Easter Break, all parts of the application must be turned in to Mrs. Koester by Thursday April 1. A reminder that the Hispanic Awareness Scholarship should be turned in to Mrs. Koester by Friday March 5 in order to meet the deadline. The following scholarships have been added to the website: Paulding Elementary PTO and Oakwood Elementary PTO, Paulding FFA Alumni....both due March 31st and the Paulding Band Boosters which is due April 15th Congratulations to both science olympiad teams for qualifying for state competition. The Division B team received the second place trophy. Individual medalists included: Gold Medalists: Zane Wilhelm (3), Savannah Roughton, Jared Ross, Austin Miller Silver Medalists: Jacob Farr and Maggie Wilhelm Bronze Medalists: Savannah Roughton and Zane Wilhelm All wrestlers need to stop by Mr. Neilson's room sometime today to pick up their posters. Softball tryouts will be next week on March 8, 9, and 10 from 4:30-6:00. There will be no practice this week on Tuesday March 9. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Dearth. Volleyball Open gym is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45-4 in Coach Kunesh's room. If you have not turned in your 2010-2011 course requests or Vantage applications, please do so as soon as possible. If there are questions, please see one of the counselors. Anyone who wants to help out the Paulding wrestling club for the wrestling meet on March 7th needs to contact DJ Shaner at school or at 419-399-4385 if they have any questions. The best prize however was that Andy was selected to present his research at the International Science Fair in California this coming May. This will be their 4th straight year of advancing in science fair to the district level. Good luck ladies! Attention any student planning to attend Prom: Student's school fees must be paid in full to be able to attend the Prom. This would include this year's school fees and any previous year's school fees. Please check with Mrs. Mansfield to make sure that all of your fees have been paid. The deadline to make payment of school fees and still attend Prom will be Wed., April 28th.
